**Left Click once on (Run)**

Windows 7 or Vista:
Left Click once on the empty box on the start menu

Type in (CMD) and press (Enter)

This brings up a command line box window

To access ipconfig and find out what our router default gateway is follow below steps:

Type in (ipconfig) and press (Enter) in the command line box window we just opened

You should now see the similar below report:

The main information you need here is the (Default Gateway Numbers!)

Our Router is located at (192.168.1.1)

Most gateways will be like this

Some might even be an odd setup such as (10.0.0.1) for the Default Gateway!

We can now close the Command box we just used above.
