From here on out it works the same in either program!

where the browser shows the web site address example below for reference:

http://www.google.com

We want to left click on this "address Bar" so that we can change this web site link to a new location.

In our example we found our router's Default Gateway to be:

(192.168.1.1)

We want to replace the above in this case (google.com) address with the (192.168.1.1) And Press (Enter)

The browser should now show us a login for out router this step may vary some:

Most routers have a master login ours below is:

(admin)
(password)

This is known as a generic login for our router and may have been changed by the user or by brand of router we use:

To login to our Westell router We simply enter the needed login name and password shown above.

The browser now shows us a Welvome page for our Router, we should be "in" our routers setup screen

If you have no "internet" access after a power failure you may need this next step!

Make sure the screen does say you are "Connected" to the internet.

If it reports "down" or "Not connected"

You will be able to reconnect simply by:

Left Click Once on the "'down" or "not Connected" message as this links and lets us force a reconnect to our service

If it now reports "up" or "Connected"

We are done in this config menu so just simply close the browser with the (X) in the upper right hand corner of the window

We DO NOT want to change anything else in here as it may make it stop working all together!

*USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK*

We just simply told the router to sign back in to your internet provider so this does not cost anything to do!

Most times if this step fails to sign back in just unplug the Power from the router for 1 minute then plug it back in and try this again

This step will fix most completely lost internet access setups in most all cases!
